I currently work as a postdoc researcher at the University of Potsdam, Germany, where I coordinate the local Network for Digital Humanities. You can find my institutional webpage here.
I studied comparative literature in Turin, Warwick, and Cologne, and later got a joint PhD in the same field from the universities of Potsdam and Padua. During my doctoral studies, I investigated the evolution of European drama in the early modern period (1550-1700) through computational methods.
Results from this project are presented in my first book, Forking Paths: Evolution and Divergence in Early Modern European Drama, which you can read for free here.
I am interested in computational literary studies, cultural analytics, and cultural evolution theory in all their forms. I am also still heavily involved in the Drama Corpora (DraCor) project.
I speak German, English, Italian, French and Spanish. When not at the office, I can usually be found in several other places, including tatamis, opera houses, gyms, cathedrals, woods, lakes, and, above all, mountains.
